Took this right as I came to a stop in traffic. Why was it peak rush hour style traffic two hours past peak rush hour? Don’t know. Went down to 45.8 mpg for the whole drive by the time I pulled in my driveway.

I didn’t hypermile or anything. I just set the cruise control to the speed limit and I only got stopped by a couple red lights more than usual.

Yes, that’s 53.5 MPG in a Chrysler 300.

Downhill + cruise control + drafting = maximum MPGs

How long of a trip? Mine was roughly 60 miles.

Well for the 53.5 MPG stretch it was about 10 miles through a small mountain range. The rest of the ~400 miles (it was a road trip) was about 32 MPG.

Not bad though.
